In 1993 Mr. Craig H. Best and Mr. Andrew Basko opened the "College National de Sécurité", a premier security training facility and one of the oldest security teaching establishments in Quebec. In 1995 Mr. Best and Mr. Basko founded "Close Protection International Inc." in response to the need in the security market for highly trained armed security officers for high-risk escort duties. Close Protection was able to provide such expert security support through access to the facilities and resources of College National de Sécurité. The synergy between the two companies has remained and Close Protection International Services is well known for its highly trained personnel and its proactive approach to security prevention.
